Michoacan

Michoacan:

A state with abundant natural resources, Michoacan is one of Mexico's main producers of agricultural products. With a territory that takes in everything from tree-studded hills and forests to verdant, water-rich valleys and a lush and wild coastline along the Pacific, there is an endless variety of attractions for the visitor.

Inland are such delights as the site of the annual migration of monarch butterflies, villages specializing in wood, clay, straw, stone and metal crafts, placid, cool lakes and waterfalls, ancient archeological sites and towns of beautiful, colonial architecture.

On the coast lie largely undeveloped, white-sanded coves and beaches that are a great attraction to surfers and those looking for uncrowned shores.
